Non-Destructive Testing Services
NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING (NDT) is a testing process applied during or after the manufacturing stages of materials, during the use of the material, during maintenance and repair, and in periodic checks. It is applied with 5 main methods and new techniques developed with today's technology. As the name suggests, the part or structure does not suffer any physical damage during the examination.
VT - Visual Testing is the detection of possible discontinuities by observing the material surfaces or the whole directly with the human eye or through a screen.
PT - Dye Penetrant Testing aims to make the discontinuities visible on the surface visible by using a special type of paint with very high penetrating properties.
MT - Magnetic Testing offers a sensitive testing opportunity in surface inspection of materials with ferromagnetic properties (magnetizable). It is based on the principle of creating a magnetic field on the surface of the material. Inspections can be carried out in the field with portable magnetizing devices or benches under laboratory and factory conditions.
UT - Ultrasonic Testing is based on the interpretation of the signals formed on the flaw detector screen by sending sound waves into the material. It is a non-destructive testing method used in material thickness measurements to detect possible discontinuities in materials.
RT - Radiographic Testing; This non-destructive testing method, which offers volumetric control, is based on examining the effects of radiation waves on a sensor, such as a film, placed on the other side of the part by passing it through the inspection part. Radiation waves will create shapes in different tones on the film if there are pores, inclusions, cracks, etc., voids or materials of different densities within the part. As a result of evaluating these shapes, evaluations about the piece can be reached.
